Baner is an upcoming area located towards the west of Pune. There are a variety of play schools and day care centre facilities located on Baner road. Baner is a popular choice as it is very close to the Hinjewadi IT park. Oakley Vale Preschool and Daycare centre commenced operations in 2011 and has been successfully operating ever since. We have a big campus of 7200 sq. ft. and a massive built up area of 3000 sq. ft. The day care is equipped with a variety of toys and books to keep our children busy. We also have a big outdoor play area that has different outdoor toys like swings, slides, bikes, a sand pit, a ball pit etc. At this day care on baner road, children also enjoy various indoor activities like art and craft, yoga, dance lessons, TV time, puppet shows, story-telling among others. Oakley Vale Preschool operates four pre-school classes viz Playgroup, Nursery, Junior KG and Senior KG. All classes have a maximum capacity of 20 children being taken care by two teachers and 1 maushi. All 4 classes are looked after by our dedicated pre-primary coordinator, Rakhi di. The pre-school children enjoy all facilities available to the day care. They also take part in various stage shows and competitions that are held at our school from time to time. Every other month, the pre-school children are also taken for field trips, generally at locations on Baner Road. Some field trips are also organised in the localities of Balewadi, Balewadi Phata, Pashan and Wakad. These field trips include visits to fish aquariums, vegetable markets, lakes, parks, museums, theatres and other interesting places for the children.
Staff recruited at Oakley Vale is initially trained at a very high standard and maintaining cleanliness and good hygiene are the two most important aspects of their training. Most of our staff members and our temp employees are from the Baner, Wakad and Balewadi area. Our pre-primary teachers and coordinators are also professional qualified and have a minimum experience of 3 years in this field. Owing to our high employment standards, we are able to provide the best possible education and child care at Oakley Vale School.
Oakley Vale is also an environment friendly school. We publish our monthly calendars on our website and our preschool and daycare activity pictures are posted to facebook. We also send out a monthly newsletter to our day care and pre-primary children's parents via email.
About our meals: We have an on-site kitchen and a dedicated staff member who handles the culinary aspect of our school. All meals are prepared just before serving and are served warm and fresh. As a policy, we do not recycle food. The water we use for drinking and cooking is also filtered using a state of the art RO filtering system. All in all, we understand that hygiene is an important issue and we take every care to ensure that children do not fall sick due to any short comings.
Oakley Vale is only school on Baner Road that use hand sanitisers in all rooms. We are against the use of napkins as children tend to cross use them. We thereby use disposable tissue papers and such dispensers are available in all of our classrooms and our day care facility.
